Students’ learning goes well beyond the classroom at Stonehill. It’s happening constantly through internships, field experiences, cutting-edge research opportunities as well as service projects locally and abroad. It’s an integral part of the mission of Stonehill College, which calls on the College to connect students with learning experiences that encourage scholarship, critical analysis and creative thinking.
Internships are integral for preparing students for postgraduate opportunities. They provide an opportunity to gain valuable experience, build a professional network, and learn more about yourself and potential careers.
Interns have the opportunity to:
- Get a better grasp of the connections between theory and practice
- Adapt to a culture outside the college environment
- Network with professionals at different levels of an organization
- Apply academic knowledge to hands-on situations
- Gain exposure to potential career choices
- Earn academic credit
