Course Approval Process
Many courses require prerequisites or have restrictions which are noted in the course description and in the comment section of the course listing under the course title. Students who do not meet these requirements will not be able to register for that course.
A faculty member may make an exception and allow a student to waive the prerequisite or course restriction. In these cases, a student needs to submit a signed Course Approval Form to the Registrar's Office.
1. Complete the Course Approval Form BELOW and click the "Submit" button.
2. A copy of the form will be sent to the email you entered on the form.
3. Print, sign, and obtain the signature of the relevant faculty member. Students may also attach an email from the faculty to the form.
4. Return the form to the Registrar's Office, Duffy 112, or scan and email the signed form with faculty signature to firstname.lastname@example.org for processing.
Note: Course Approvals must be received and coded prior to a student's registration date/time in order to add the course to their schedule on your own. Approvals do not guarantee students a seat in the class.
