15-Credit Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy & Leadership
The AI Strategy & Leadership Graduate Certificate Program explores foundational AI concepts, its applications in business strategy, organizational adoption of AI technologies and responsible governance of decision systems. Students will learn how AI technologies create organizational value, how leaders can integrate AI into strategic decision-making, how to utilize AI tools to create value within their organizations, and how to address ethical and social implications of intelligent systems.
Through this certificate, students will learn to:
- apply basic AI tools to improve efficiency in core business tasks and decision-making
- evaluate AI applications for strategic business value
- analyze problems using AI-driven tools and techniques to develop solutions, formulate strategies and support decision-making
- communicate AI strategy and implications to non‑technical stakeholders
- create ethical and responsible strategies for AI adoption and use
Courses in this program are offered online or on-campus in the evenings over a seven-week term. Its flexible schedule is designed to meet the needs of working professionals.
Students who complete this graduate certificate and wish to pursue their Master of Science in Data Analytics, Master of Business Administration or Master of Science in Marketing may apply these courses toward the master's degree.
Become a Skilled Leader in AI Strategy
The 15-credit International Business Graduate Certificate includes five courses to ensure students gain in-demand expertise in AI-enabled strategy and decision-making and the tools to ensure ethical AI governance.The program includes a combination of thought leadership, collaborative projects and hands-on simulations.
This course introduces students to the principles of logic and critical thinking needed to evaluate information, arguments, and data in modern business environments. Students learn how artificial intelligence systems generate output, how to assess their reliability and limitations, and how logical reasoning can improve decision-making when working with AI tools. Emphasis is placed on applying structured thinking and responsible AI use to analyze business problems, interpret AI-generated insights, and support sound managerial judgment.
This course introduces students to generative AI technologies and practical AI tools used to support business analysis, communication, and decision-making. Students learn how to effectively use AI systems to generate insights, automate tasks, analyze data, and enhance productivity across areas such as sales, strategy, and operations. Topics include the cost of inference, the role that tokens play in pricing and performance, and how choices around prompts, context, model selection and tool use affect scalability and responsible use. Emphasis is placed on developing practical skills, evaluating the quality and limitations of AI outputs, and applying generative AI responsibly in professional business contexts.
This course explores how artificial intelligence and advanced analytics can support data-driven decision-making in business organizations. Students learn how AI models generate predictions, identify patterns in large datasets, and inform strategic choices in areas such as marketing, operations, and financial planning. Emphasis is placed on interpreting AI-generated insights, evaluating model limitations, and applying analytical results responsibly to improve managerial decision-making.
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of marketing within a creative and innovative program design framework. Students develop techniques to improve the flexibility and originality of their thinking while exploring innovative approaches to market analysis, customer insights, and idea generation. The course examines how marketing practitioners combine creative thinking and AI-enabled technologies to develop and sustain organizational innovation. Students also explore the ethical issues surrounding AI use, including effects on workplace integrity, the environment, fairness, and data privacy and governance.
This course focuses on several important areas impacting the dynamic nature of internet marketing by addressing the role of mobile, social, and local marketing in today’s environment, the integration of technology tools, including AI, into marketing activities, and the major problems and opportunities that online activities and tactics pose for the marketing manager. Legal and ethical issues related to accountability and liability, transparency, bias, and misuse are also explored.
