Meet Our Staff

Steve Pagios

Director of Student Engagement

As the Director, Steve manages and supports the amazing people that make up the Office of Student Engagement, as well as creates and encourages the vision and mission of the Office. Additionally, his main responsibilities include advising the Student Government Association (SGA), coordinating the first-year Orientation program, and co-chairing the First Year Experience (FYE) program.
Steve earned his Master of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Assumption College. Before coming to Stonehill, he worked at Brandeis University, Quinnipiac University, and The University of Akron.

Fun Fact: Steve and his four younger siblings recently purchased a house in York, Maine—one of the places they all grew up going to on vacation.

Lina Macedo

Assistant Director of Student Engagement

Lina Macedo, Assistant Director of Student Engagement for Campus Programs, advises the Programming Committees of the Student Government Association. She received her M.S. Counseling-Student Development Masters degree in Higher Education from Central Connecticut State University. At CCSU, Lina advised the Campus Activities Network, Black Student Union, and Fraternities and Sororities, while also supervising the Breakers Game Room and student techs. Lina is familiar with the area as she completed her B.S. in Physical Education at Bridgewater State University (then College). She is originally from Fall River, MA.

Fun Facts: Lina is a huge sports fan. She loves all sports--you name it, Lina watches it. Also, Lina dislikes candy corn: “It’s a vile candy, if you can even call it a candy.”

Patrick Keaney

Assistant Director of Student Engagement

Patrick has worked in the Office of Student Engagement at Stonehill since July of 2007, after serving as a Residence Director in the Office of Residence Life for over a year. Patrick also previously worked as a Residence Director at Curry College. He earned a BA in Communication from Bridgewater State University (then College) in 2005, and a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration from Suffolk University in 2010.

Cheryl Wilder

Administrative Assistant/Information Desk Manager

Cheryl Wilder is the Administrative Assistant and Information Desk Manager in the Roche Commons Dining building. In addition to supervising a student staff and managing on-going Information Desk projects, she oversees both the student van program and campus vendor program. Cheryl has been with Stonehill College for sixteen years and resides in Mansfield with her husband. Cheryl has three grown children, one of which is a member of the Stonehill Class of 2014.  She and her husband keep busy at home fostering labrador retrievers to help them find their forever home.

Jake Petrarca

Brother Mike's Manager

Jake is our Brother Mike's manager, Stonehill's own pub inside The Hill.  He oversees an outstanding group of certified student bartenders while organizing and executing engaging programming for our student body at large.  Jake is also an Assistant Stonehill Football Coach, as well as their recruiting coordinator.  Jake received his Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education/History from Salve Regina University in 2012.  Currently, Jake is pursuing a Master's degree from Anna Maria College and resides in Braintree, MA.
