Overview

  • Circulating materials are checked out at the The Desk.
  • Valid Hillcards are required when borrowing any materials.
  • You are responsible for knowing when your checked out materials are due.
  • The due date is stamped on the date slip attached to the item.
  • Fines are collected for recalls, e-readers and lost or damaged materials.
  • See Overdue Items and Fines for more information.
  • You may view your current library record by accessing Your library account .
  • If you lose your Hillcard, please notify Campus Police immediately.
  • Do NOT allow anyone else to use your Hillcard.
  • SENIORS: If you are working on your thesis, ask a staff person at The Desk about an extended loan period.

RETURNS

  • Return materials to The Desk when the library is open.
  • Use the outside book depository (left of the front doors) when library is closed.

RENEWALS

RECALLS

  • The library reserves the right to recall materials, if a need arises.
  • Items needed for reserves may be recalled at any time.

HOLDS

  • You can add your name to a waiting list for any item(s) currently checked out.
  • You will be notified when the item(s) is available.
  • Come to The Desk to check out your item(s).
  • Materials will be held at The Desk for 1 week.

LOAN PERIODS

Student & Employees
  • Books, Government Documents & Music Recordings may be borrowed for 30 days with 3 15-day renewals (if not requested by another patron)
  • DVDs/VHS may be borrowed for up to 7 days with 1 7-day renewal (if not requested by another patron)
  • Reserve Material have several different loan periods: 2 hours in library use only (books), 3 hours in library use only (films), 24 hours (materials may leave the library), 3 day (with 1 3-day renewal (if not requested by another patron)
  • Leisure Reading books may be borrowed for 30 days with 1 15-day renewal (if not requested by another patron)
  • Periodicals (Journals) are only available for use within the library
  • Reference Materials are only available for use within the library
Faculty
  • Books, Government Documents & Music Recordings are all due on June 1st with up to 1 & 1/2 years.

  • Southeastern Mass Cooperating Libraries (Students & Faculty)
    May borrow up to books with current college ID for 30 days with 1 15-day renewal period (if not requested by another patron).
  • Stonehill Alumni, Area Clergy & Easton Teachers
    May borrow up to 4 books with proof of eligibility for 30 days with 1 15-day renewal period (if not requested by another patron).
