The Stonehill College Alumni Travel Program is pleased to present: Scotland: Edinburgh & Beyond!
This 10-day educational tour, which departs on October 5th and returns on October 14th, will take travelers to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Drymen, and other amazing locations. Journey through the cities and coastal villages influenced by the tribal Celtics and ancient, face-painted Picts, Roman conquerors and Vikings, fallen monarchs and powerful warrior-royals, noble clansmen, great explorers, pensive philosophers, and bright inventors!
Associate Professor of English Helga Duncan, Stonehill's resident Shakespearean expert, will serve as the trip's faculty host and share her expertise as travelers visit historic sites including Glamis Castle, Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, Culzean Castle, Edinburgh Castle, the famous St. Andrew’s Castle & Cathedral and Loch Ness to try to spot Nessie, the monster lurking below the surface.
Travelers will also visit the Callander known for it’s woolen heritage, Glencoe, and Fort William and enjoy a cruise on Loch Lomond, listen to “Jamie’s Scottish Evening” and sip on one of Scotland’s most exclusive whiskies, Royal Lochnagar.
This trip costs $3,059 per person (credit), $2,999 per person (check) (double occupancy) and includes round trip airfare from Boston, hotel accommodations, breakfast daily, four dinners, and the full time services of a tour director.
