Portugal 2017: Porto, the Algarve & Lisbon - October 7-16, 2017
This sold out 10-day educational tour took travelers to Porto, Lisbon, Fátima, Sintra, The Algarve and other amazing locations. The group journeyed through the cities and coastal villages that were once home to some of the greatest explorers the world has ever known. For the first time ever we offered a three-night extension to Lisbon and the Azores from October 16th – 19th!
Associate Professor of Communication Rev. James Chichetto, C.S.C. '64 served as the trip’s faculty host and shared his expertise as travelers tour historic sites including the Sancturary of Our Lady of Fátima, St. Francis Church, Chapel of Bones and the 19th-century, romanticist Pena Palace in Sintra aming other sites. This year marked the 100th anniversary of the Marian apparitions witnessed by three shepherd children in Fátima, Portugal.
