Alumni Travel Program

The Alumni Travel program offers group travel opportunities with an educational component designed specifically for Stonehill alumni, their families and friends. The destinations selected capitalize on the specialty of a Stonehill faculty member which provides one-of-a kind travel and learning opportunities.Below are TWO upcoming trips for alumni to choose from.

 'Essential Holland & Belgium' River Cruise - April 11-19, 2016

Pricing (including airfare and taxes as of July 8th) starts at $3996 for a double occupancy cabin.  NOTE:  As of February 1st, there are still cabins available for anyone wishing to join and Avalon Waterways may be offering last-minute booking incentives.

We have partnered with Avalon Waterways to offer an amazing trip through Holland and Belgium.  Visits to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Veere and Ghent will be highlights, as will an excursion to the breathtaking Keukenhof Gardens and a visit to the impressive windmill fields of Kinderdijk.  

In addition to the itemized itinerary, Avalon is offering a special Beer tasting Cruise with special tastings, lectures, and visits to historic breweries.  

What's Included:  roundtrip airfare to/from Boston, airport transfers, seven nights aboard Avalon Waterways' Expression, breakfast, lunch and dinner on board each day, entrance fees and tours listed in the itinerary and all on-board amenities.  Aboard the ship Stonehill travelers will enjoy dinner seating as a group, lectures hosted by our faculty guide and a special cocktail reception.

Italy 2016: Amalfi Coast & Rome - October 7-17, 2016

Trevi Fountain

This 11-day educational tour will take travelers to Rome, Sorrento, Naples, Pompeii, Salerno, Capri and other amazing locations.  Professor of Religious Studies Rev. Richard Gribble, C.S.C. will serve as the trip’s faculty host and will share his expertise as travelers tour historic sites including St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museum, the Abbey of Montecassino and the Cathedral of St. Andrew.  Travelers will also visit the Colosseum, the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum, the Naples Archeological Museum and the Royal Palace of Caserta.

This trip costs $3,199 per person (double occupancy) and includes round trip airfare (direct) from Boston, hotel accommodations (six nights in Sorrento at the Hotel Michelangelo and three nights in Rome at the Grand Hotel Palatino), breakfast daily, three dinners, one lunch, airport transfers, and the full time services of a tour director.
