Arts Administration Major

Arts Administration is a major for those who aspire to work in a museum, performing arts company, non-profit organization or other cultural institutions.

Combining knowledge of business and cultural organizations, Stonehill's Arts Administration major prepares students for careers and graduate study.

This preparation begins right away. Our first-year arts administration students investigate topics including:

  • The role of arts in society
  • Management strategies
  • Funding venues
  • Legal and ethical issues in the arts

Four Concentrations Available

Arts Administration majors at Stonehill choose one of four areas of concentration:

  • Dance Concentration
  • Museum Studies Concentration
  • Music Concentration
  • Theatre Concentration

Students may also find that this major fits well as a double major with Art History, Business or Communication. Majoring in Arts Administration is easily combined with a Business Administration minor.
