General Description

This community encourages students to develop a wholistic sense of self by practicing healthy behavior habits. Through programming, dialogue, and service, this special interest housing community will encourage students to practice proper nutrition, mental health awareness, relationship conflict resolution, healthy communication skills, stress and time management, physical fitness, and risk reduction of negative health behaviors.

A Living Learning Community

Students in wellness housing participate in weekly and monthly events with each other including, house dinners, wellness retreats, weekly wellness programming specifically for residents in wellness housing. In addition, wellness housing students participate in on campus events with other offices such as with the Health and Wellness Center on Fresh Check Day, a mental health wellness day and the bi-annual Self Care Fair, which is created and run entirely by wellness housing students and the Graduate Assistant for Wellness Housing to bridge the gap between students faculty and staff and to address wellness needs.
