Update to Alumni Access:

As of October 1, 2021, access to career advising for most alumni is being focused to only winter and summer breaks for 2021-2022. Please bear with us as we focus our efforts on responding to the ever-changing needs of our current students in these unusual times.

Class of 2021:
You will maintain access to appointments regardless of academic breaks.  To book an appointment while classes are in session, please call our front desk at 508-565-1325 during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm). Appointments scheduled during winter and summer breaks may be requested via Handshake.

Class of 2020:
If you feel you must meet with a Career Advisor before winter or summer break, please call the front desk and we will do our best to accommodate you.  The front desk is available at 508-565-1325 during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm). Otherwise, appointments scheduled during winter and summer breaks may be requested via Handshake.

Alumni more than one year out and pursuing professional health programs:
You will maintain access to "Pre-Health: General Advising" and "Pre-Health: Personal Statement" appointments with Andrew regardless of academic breaks.  You may request those appointments via Handshake. All other appointments must be booked in winter or summer breaks and may be requested via Handshake.

Alumni more than one year out and not pursuing professional health programs:
You are able to schedule an appointment with a Career Advisor through Handshake.  Appointments are available in December 2021, and January, June, July, and August 2022.

All alumni:
You have uninterrupted access to our online resources on Handshake.  There, you will find all of our handouts and worksheets including resume guidelines, samples, and a proofreading checklist (a very powerful tool!).  Also, check out our playlist on the College's YouTube channel with recordings of our workshops.

About FOCUS-2:

FOCUS online assessment helps individuals in career transition to develop an accurate picture of their personal strengths, needs and preferences. Whether you are exploring education or career paths, this can help you discover and explore options that match your interests, personality, values and skills.

On average, approximately 40 minutes, you can spend additional time researching different occupational choices, and checking out the 300+ occupational videos. A great deal of career-related information can be found in this assessment, and we encourage you to review it as many times as you wish. You do not have to do the assessment all at once. You can log back on to FOCUS at any time.

Please Note:

To optimize your use of FOCUS, be sure to "Combine Your Assessment Results" to narrow and refine your exploration of education and career fields based on all of your FOCUS assessment results. Remember that the system is case sensitive.

Our services are just a phone call away at (508) 565-1325, or contact us via email at careerdevelopment@stonehill.edu.
