The National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) recently revealed the winners of the 2022 Northeast Regional Awards recognizing individuals who successfully amplify the campus experience through positive and meaningful student services. Associate Director of Campus Programs Lina Macedo was among this year’s honorees.

The Stonehill staffer received the Maureen McDermott/Michelle Delaney Staff Programmer Award, given to a student affairs professional who embodies outstanding achievement in their field by demonstrating an impactful advising style and long-term potential in their role.

“Coming to work at Stonehill every day brings me great joy,” Macedo said. “I am proud of the work my colleagues and I have done over the years to facilitate programs that will help our students create fond memories and achieve personal growth. Thank you to NACA Northeast for recognizing my role in these efforts. Go Hill!”

Macedo has worked at the College for almost two decades. She provides oversight of all programs and events run by the Office of Student Engagement, Student Government Association’s Programming Committee and the Senior Events Committee. She also manages the weekly programming that takes place at The Hill, the restaurant-style eatery located in the Roche Dining Commons.

“Lina exemplifies the spirit of Stonehill. Dedicated to the College’s mission of shaping hearts and minds, she approaches her role with enthusiasm and a great sense of humor. Watching her grow throughout her time on this campus has been an honor. As she continues crafting programs that help enhance the student experience, I’m excited to see what she achieves next,” said Pauline Dobrowski, vice president for student affairs.
