Pauline Burke, Ed.D., MSW, was appointed as Vice President for Student Affairs in 2013, succeeding President John Denning, C.S.C. in the role. She oversees student life at Stonehill College and manages the offices of Athletics, Community Standards, Counseling Services, First-Year Experience & Leadership Development, Health Services, Intercultural Affairs, Residence Life, and Student Engagement. In addition, she works collaboratively with other departments to provide intentional opportunities meant to foster and integrate students’ intellectual, physical, social and spiritual development. 

Pauline has served the Stonehill community for over 22 years. She began her career in higher education as a Residence Director at the College. She moved to Wentworth Institute of Technology, where she served as Senior Residence Director before being promoted to Associate Director of Housing and Residential Life. Pauline returned to Stonehill as Director of Residence Life. She later assumed increasing responsibility within Student Affairs, serving as Assistant Vice President, then Associate Vice President & Dean of Students, before elevating to her current role.

Beyond her work with the College, Pauline maintains involvement with several professional organizations. Most notably, she has held numerous regional and national roles with The National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA). She served on their Board of Directors for four years in two different capacities. In 2020, NASPA named Pauline a Pillar of the Profession given her commitment and service to the field of student affairs.

Pauline earned her Ed.D. in organizational leadership from Northeastern University. She received her MSW from Simmons College and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Boston College.
