Kate (Grimm) Andreottola '98

Background

A native of Northern Virginia, Kate (Grimm) Andreottola considers Boston a second home. After graduating from Stonehill College in 1998 with a BS in Marketing, Kate worked as a recruiter at Winter, Wyman & Company (now Planet Professional and Planet Technology). Recruiting and Human Resources positions at Digitas, the Palladium Group, and VistaPrint helped her to blend her love of business with a passion for education, leading to a role in Undergraduate Career Development at Babson College.

Career Update

After watching the Patriots win their first of many under Tom Brady, the Red Sox reverse the curse, and the Celtics clinch a championship, she made the move to be closer to family in Fairfax, Virginia. 8 years in Advancement at George Mason University prepared her for her current role, which she has held since 2015, as the Director of Advancement of St. Paul VI Catholic High School (PVI), her alma mater. In May 2022, she earned her Masters in Education in Supervision and Administration from Marymount University.

Involvements

Kate’s greatest love is being a mom to her daughter, Sophie, currently a Junior at PVI. (Kate thinks Sophie would look great in Skyhawks colors!) She loves being on the pitch as an Assistant Coach for a U17 girls soccer team with Virginia Valor FC, serves as an advocate for breast cancer awareness as a two-time survivor, aims to make at least one banana bread a week to give to someone who just looks like they need it, and enjoys anything that involves family, friends, and laughter.

Stonehill Connection

Kate’s years at Stonehill College not only prepared her for the various chapters in her life, they also serve as some of the best memories. Stonehill introduced her to what she describes as a “fiercely loyal” group of friends who she continues to see as much as possible, even with miles between them. She is honored to serve Stonehill to further their mission so other students can experience what she did (and to convince students in Virginia that Boston really isn’t that cold in the winter!)

Reunion Volunteers

Reunion Volunteers make Stonehill College Reunion happen. The keys to a great Reunion are strong attendance and high participation in your class gift. These elements ensure a wonderful weekend for all who return to reconnect with classmates and with the College, and they allow each class to celebrate their time at Stonehill by paying it forward to today's students. For more information about serving as a Reunion Volunteer, contact Stacy King, associate director of the annual fund.
