Student Success at Stonehill

Advocates for a Brighter Stonehill (ABS) Student Leaders

Every student has something of value that enriches Stonehill’s common experience.

We are committed to educating the entire person: mind, body and spirit. A Stonehill education engages in a process of discovery and development that takes place both in and out of the classroom.

Students are at the heart of all that we do. We value their diverse pathways and the unique challenges they experience in their pursuits of academic achievement, personal development and professional fulfillment. We provide access to resources to ensure every student receives guidance to move forward and reach their fullest potential.

Keeping their pathway to success open allows students to engage in all that Stonehill has to offer gaining personal, professional, and spiritual growth while also nurturing lifelong friendships and cultivating civic leadership.

Support Stonehill Students

The Student Opportunity Fund

These funds, which are made available through the generous support of donors to the College, are available to students in order to subsidize the costs associated with their participation in a wide range of high-impact learning activities. Preference is given to students who are able to clearly articulate and demonstrate the significant financial hardships or barriers that jeopardize their ability to participate in desired high-impact learning experiences.

Wellness Initiatives Fund

The Wellness Initiatives Fund provides financial support to various student wellness programs, trainings, and events. In addition to the generous support from Robin McQueen-Lynch '80 and Bob Flynn '87, the Class of 2019 Senior Class Gift supported the Wellness Initiatives Fund.

Student groups, faculty, and staff are encouraged to apply for these funds to either develop new and innovative wellness initiatives or to enhance current program offerings.

The Bridge Fund

Stonehill is committed to helping every student graduate.

The Bridge Fund enables a quick turnaround for funding requests from qualified students whose families are facing inordinate financial hardship. These families have had an unexpected financial setback and their student is in danger of not being able to complete their college education.

Your support of the Bridge Fund helps us to assist more students and their families to meet unexpected financial demands and fulfill their goal of a Stonehill education.

Intercultural Affairs Programming Innovation Fund

Advancing and entrenching diversity, equity, and inclusion is a strategic priority of Stonehill College. Through the work of the Office of Intercultural Affairs (OIA), Stonehill can further its commitment to building a culture where differences are openly shared and celebrated. The work of OIA is increasingly in demand as the number of students we serve from diverse populations continues to grow.

Student Life at Stonehill

group of students

At the core of student life at Stonehill College is the ability for our students to engage in a process of discovery and development that takes place both in the classroom and through programs offered across campus. Approximately 90% of our students choose to live on campus and many of our commuter students seek out opportunities to engage both in and out of the classroom.

Student life at Stonehill can range from participation in study groups to involvement in the Student Government Association or one of our many student clubs and organizations. Engaging in student life at Stonehill gives our students the unique opportunity to learn more about themselves while also coming to know people from different backgrounds and cultural experiences.

Students who engage in all that Stonehill has to offer gain personal, professional, and spiritual growth while also nurturing lifelong friendships and cultivating civic leadership.
