Our mission is to help our students become:
  • Intrepid explorers
  • Critical evaluators/thinkers
  • Engaged community members
  • Transformed by experience and learning
  • Confident travelers along paths of discomfort
  • Capable of discovering new perspectives
We will support students and faculty by:
  • Intrepid explorers can access books, journals, primary resources, websites, media and ILL on campus and around the world.
  • Critical evaluators and thinkers can receive Information Literacy instruction in class and 1:1 consultations
  • Engaged community members can access group study rooms, collaborative study spaces and have work study and internship experiences
  • Students are transformed by experience and learning through working with faculty and librarians to develop assignments that will allow students to achieve their learning goals
  • Confident travelers along paths of discomfort can find support from staff, faculty and librarians in their lifelong learning
  • Students can discover new perspectives by working with faculty and librarians to ensure students have access to the resources they will need to successfully complete their research and by working with faculty and librarians to ensure that the collection meets their needs and the needs of their students

MacPhaidin Library provides informational resources that support the College's academic programs. Its goal is to provide faculty and students with the material and services needed for effective teaching, learning and research.
