Our non-degree option gives you the unique opportunity to take up to two graduate-level courses this summer to get to know Stonehill before formally applying to enroll in the program. Credits earned count toward your degree if you decide to matriculate in the program.

Fall 2024 Hybrid Course Offerings

This course is the introductory course to the Marketing Master’s Degree Program. It is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of marketing in the context of a creative and innovative program design. Students will learn techniques for improving the flexibility and originality of their thinking and will explore approaches used by marketing practitioners to create and sustain organizational innovation.

This course will meet on campus on Tuesdays, 7–9:30 p.m. It runs from August 27 through October 13. 

The marketing management course is designed to serve as an introduction to the theory and practice of marketing. Students will improve their ability to develop effective marketing strategies and assess market opportunities, as well as design strategy implementation programs. In addition, students will have the opportunity to communicate and defend their recommendations and build upon the recommendations of their peers.

This course will meet on campus on Thursdays, 7–9:30 p.m. It runs from August 27 through October 13. 

This social media marketing course is designed to help students understand how marketing has changed due to the rise of social media and changes in various underlying contextual factors such as dramatically increased speed of information dissemination across consumers and brands. The emphasis of this course is on understanding consumers’ social interactions, examining the various social media channels available to marketers, learning how to build social marketing strategies, and practicing how to track their effectiveness.

This course will meet on campus on Thursdays, 4–6:30 p.m. It runs from October 21 through December 15. 

Fall 2024 Online Course Offerings

This course is the introductory course to the Marketing Master’s Degree Program. The buyer behavior course examines the consumer decision process and the effect on consumer decision-making of external environmental influences (culture, subculture, social class, reference groups, family, and personal influences) and of internal psychological influences (personality and lifestyle, learning, motives, perception, and beliefs and attitudes). Applications of psychological, sociological, anthropological, and economic theories and models to the understanding of buyer behavior and the development of a marketing strategy.

This course will meet online on Mondays, 7–9:30 p.m., with synchronous meetings through the semester. It runs from October 21 through December 15.

A case study course that concentrates on the underlying rationale for starting a business, the methods and techniques involved in initiating and leaving a business venture, and the ongoing problems encountered in managing business activity. The student is given practical exposure to entrepreneurship through guest speakers, case discussions, and projects.

This course will meet online on Thursdays, 7–9:30 p.m., with synchronous meetings through the semester. It runs from October 21 through December 15.
