Parking Information
Commuter Students can park in any purple spots in the Chapel of Mary Lot, Roche North Lot, SPOCO lot, and the Student/Visitor Lot.
Commuter parking permits are $75 for a full year and $37.50 for a single semester. The cost of the decal will be charged to the student’s account.
Meal Plans
Students who commute to campus are not required to participate in the dining meal program but may choose to do so. There is one dining plan option:
25 swipes for $250: any unused swipes roll-over from Fall to Spring only. Students can purchase a meal plan at any time and re-purchase if they run out of the 25 swipes.
Cleary Commuter Lounge
Established in 2021, the Cleary Commuter Lounge located on the 2nd floor lobby of the Roche Dining Commons and serves as a welcoming space for all commuter students. The lounge has a variety of amenities to make students feel at home while on campus including:
- Refrigerators
- Microwave
- Study space with tables and chairs
- White board with expo markers
- Areas to charge devices
- Lounge space with Television and Roku systems
- Coat rack
- Board games
Commuter Council
The Commuter Committee serves as the voice of commuter students and provides a platform for students to discuss and make changes to enhance commuter life at Stonehill. This organization is a committee of the Student Government Association (SGA) and works closely with SGA and the SGA Finance Committee to accomplish its initiatives.
Commuter Council is open to all students at Stonehill. The Executive Board is made up of five students who will lead the student organization in its goals and indicatives. While there are only five members of the E-Board, the Council is made up of several general members.

Do I need a parking pass?
• Yes. If there are cars parked in the commuter lots and spots without a parking pass you could get a ticket or car towed.
Can I stay over in a friend's dorm overnight?
• You can as long as the friend you are staying with has filled out the college Guest Pass form informing campus that you will be staying overnight with them.
If I run out of my meal plan, can I purchase more swipes?
• Yes. Commuters can purchase an additional 25 meal swipes if they run out. Swipes also role-over from fall to spring semester.
Can I bring guests who are non-Stonehill students to campus events?
• Yes you can. Commuter students need to fill out the college Guest Pass and there is an option for commuters to register guests for late night programming.
How will I know if school is closed due to weather? (hill alert)
• Students can sign up to receive HILL ALERT notifications through their student account to inform them of school closer or delays.
Am I welcome to come and study on campus during the day on weekends?
• Yes you can. Campus areas such as the library or commuter lounge are open for students to study and utilize those spaces as long as they are open.
Where can I grab food/snacks quickly in between classes?
• There are a number of places students can grab a quick bite in between classes! Dunkin’, Lux Café, Gigi’s, and Ace’s Place are open during the day and are great options.
Stonehill has partnered with Uber to provide students with a subsidized alternative for transportation to and from predetermined off-campus locations. Students can use these services to and from Stonehill, and the College will cover the first $15* each way.

Stonehill students can request a ride to/from the following options:

• Westgate Mall, Brockton (which includes Market Basket)
This program runs through the first day of classes until the last day of classes each semester. Services are available from 6 a.m. - 2 a.m.
*$15 is subject to change by semester. Students are authorized for $300 per semester. After the $300 limit is reached, students will lose access to the program and be notified by the Office of Student Engagement. The program will be re-instated for students who hit this limit the following semester.
