Summer Housing
Summer 2024 Housing
The Office of Residence Life provides a limited amount of housing for students who are doing work study for an on-campus employer, participating in an internship, or participating in the SURE program. Space is limited. Housing is generally not available for students participating in summer courses or working in off-campus employment, and if approved would be billed at a higher rate than listed below.
To qualify for summer housing at Stonehill, you must meet at least one of the conditions listed below and be interning or working on campus.
Summer Housing Dates
May 26, 2024 - August 9, 2024* (*subject to change)
- Early Arrivals or Late Stays outside of the above dates must be approved by the Residence Life Office.
- The Residence Life Office may require students to move to temporary locations if approved for early arrival or late stay.

Please note: Students approved for air conditioning accommodations through Accessibility Services will likely be housed in the O'Hara Village.
Application Requirements
Students may not move on campus for the summer until Residence Life has received the following:
- A completed summer housing application available in MyHousing on April 2, 2024 and DUE on May 10, 2024.
- Verification of your campus activity.
- SURE & Affiliate Programs: The Office of Residence Life will confirm your SURE or Affiliate registration; you will not need to turn anything in.
- INTERNSHIPS: Internships should be registered in myHill
- For Credit Internship: The Office of Residence Life will confirm your internship through the Registrar's Office and you will not need to turn anything in. Please note that you will not receive housing until we have verified that your internship has been confirmed by the Registrar's Office
- Not-for-Credit Internship: You will need to provide proof that you are employed full time. For offices open 5 days per week, this should be for at least 35 hours per week. (For offices open 4 days per week, exceptions may be granted to consider 28 hours / week full-time; please contact the Office of Residence Life if this applies to you). Your proof of hire will need to be uploaded with your application in MyHousing.
- WORK STUDY: Students will be emailed a hire form when they have been officially hired as a work study student. A copy of that email should be be uploaded with your application in MyHousing.
- INDEPENDENT RESEARCH WITH FACULTY: Students who will be interning with a faculty member or assisting with research should have the faculty member provide proof of hire and that the research will be occupying at least 35 hours/week. Your proof of hire will need to be uploaded with your application in MyHousing.
You will be notified once we have verified the above information. If approved for summer residency, you will receive additional information and room assignment via email. Applications will be accepted on a space available basis. Further regulations related to tax paperwork and payment can be obtained in the Office of Student Financial Assistance.
Summer Housing Cost
Students will be billed for housing by Student Accounts. Billing will be based on the number of weeks students indicate they will be living in housing on their housing application.
Independent Research with Faculty (Not affiliated with the SURE program)
- Housing cost: $50.00 per week
Internships
Either a full time, course credit internship through Stonehill College OR an approved full time, non-credited internship.
- Housing cost: $100.00 per week
SURE Scholars
- Housing cost: $50.00 per week
Work Study Students
- Housing cost: $100.00 per week
Roommates
Summer rooms are double occupancy. All summer residents will be assigned a roommate. Students may pair with a desired summer roommate using the roommate matching feature on MyHousing.
Students with documented disabilities who require singles should apply for a housing accommodation through Accessibility Services.
Housing Accommodations
If you have a documented disability and require a summer housing accommodation (for example, a single or an air-conditioned room), please contact Accessibility Services as soon as possible.
Storage
The Residence Life Office does not provide storage including the periods between the spring & summer semester or summer & fall semester. It is recommended that students who need storage solutions seek an insured off-campus vendor. A list of suggested vendors can be obtained in the Residence Life Office.
The Office of Residence Life is dedicated to providing students a supportive and inclusive living environment that enhances their Stonehill experience. Students can select from a wide range of living options at Stonehill, ranging from traditional corridor style halls to suites and townhouses, to single-gender residence halls.
