The Town of Easton recently took a significant step toward enhancing its emergency services infrastructure with the opening of its new Fire Station 1 at 321 Main Street, North Easton.

The new facility is located on land leased to the Town by Stonehill College and will expand critical emergency response capabilities in an area that serves both the campus and the broader Easton community.

In remarks delivered during a ribbon-cutting event held on Thursday, August 6, Rev. John Denning, C.S.C., president of the College, expressed his gratitude to the firefighters and EMTs who help make Easton and Stonehill safer for all. He also highlighted the longstanding relationship between the institution and its neighbors.

“This station represents a unique opportunity to strengthen Stonehill’s enduring partnership with the Town of Easton, which has flourished for nearly eight decades and will continue thriving for years to come,” he said. “Collaborating with the Town on this project reflects our mutual commitment to serving others and ensuring every person in Easton is treated with care and compassion.”
