Justice and Peace Vigil

December 5, 2014

In recent months, the Stonehill community has engaged in teach-ins, speak-outs, and vigils related to institutional racism and racial injustice. On Thursday, the ALANA-A Leadership Program hosted the Diversity Monologues where faculty, staff and students shared spoken word poems about their experiences with race. At the conclusion of the event, a vigil was held to acknowledge institutional violence impacting people of color, remembering recent lives taken by reading off their names and lighting glow sticks.
