History Comes Alive: In a recent reenactment in the MacPhaidin Library, scholar Charles Everett Pace transformed himself into Frederick Douglass, the great social reformer and abolitionist leader. As Douglass, Pace outlined the path from slavery to freedom, showing how society’s marginal outsiders become influential insiders. After the formal presentation, Pace, both in and out of character, took questions from the audience.
