Chief Carnes Partners with U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch

Chief Peter Carnes met with Attorney General Loretta Lynch recently at the annual conference of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) in San Diego. In addition to leading the Stonehill College Police Department, Chief Carnes serves as the Parliamentarian for IACP, the professional association for law enforcement worldwide since 1893. Before an audience of several thousand police professionals, AG Lynch unveiled the agency’s online Police-Mental Health Collaboration Toolkit, which is designed to help police departments craft comprehensive responses, offering guidance on everything from building relationships with behavioral health agencies to educating officers to be safe in encounters with people in mental health crisis.
