Monday Morning Update

October 30, 2017

Game Changer: One day in 2003, Tom Deschenes ’04 played a Star Wars board game with three other students in O’Hara Hall, which introduced him to a whole new world. Ultimately, it inspired Deschenes, who received a master’s degree in liberal arts with a concentration in English from Harvard last year, to create his own strategy board game, “Quest for the Antidote,” which is now on sale. Learn more about Tom and his journey here.

Stonehill’s Blue Man: Before he became the Artistic Director of the Stonehill Theatre Company, Professor Matt Greene spent six years preforming 1,000+ times with the Blue Man group. As the STC gears up to perform Almost, Maine in November, here are four things about the actor, director and author.

Spooky World: It was a trick or treaters delight on campus last Tuesday thanks to the Residence Hall Association, which hosted children of faculty, staff and campus neighbors in celebrating Halloween. Visit here to view the Halloween snapshot.

Christmas Concert: The Sons of Serendip with Micah Christian ’06 will usher in the season of goodwill with a Christmas Concert Sunday, December 10 at 2 p.m. in the Science Center. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, November 1. For info, visit here.

Fall Foliage: Before all the leaves are off the trees, we snapped some photos to capture the splendor of campus during the fall. Check them out here.
