Christmas Concert: In 2014, the Sons of Serendip took the country by storm, competing on America’s Got Talent before 15 million viewers and reaching the show’s “Final Four.” Their success was no surprise at Stonehill, where lead vocalist Micah Christian ’06 was well-known for his singing with the Chapel Choir and The Chieftones a cappella group. We’re excited to announce that the group is coming to campus for a special Christmas concert in the Science Center on Friday, December 9 at 7:30 p.m. For information on tickets, which go on sale Wednesday, visit here. Hill Ballet: An English major/business minor, Elizabeth Weldon ’06 is now a corps de ballet member with Ballet West in Salt Lake City. By going to college first, Weldon took a nontraditional career path. When recently asked if that helped or hindered her, she replied “I loved learning, and having the chance to figure out who I was as an individual. It also helped me realize how much I love ballet and how much I missed having it in my life. After graduation was when I began to really pursue ballet as a career.” To read an interview-profile of Weldon, visit here.

Top Choice: A sharp photo of the MacPháidín library greeted 22,000 academic librarians when they received the November issue of Choice magazine, the go-to source for librarians seeking new titles for their collections. Credit to Librarian Cheryl McGrath and Systems Librarian Jennifer Macaulay, who took the photo, for seizing the opportunity to promote the library on the cover of Choice, which serves 2,400 libraries worldwide.
