Hot Topics from the Hill: A State Representative Panel
Join us for an inside look at some of the key issues affecting the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2026.
A panel of dynamic lawmakers will provide updates on the latest legislative priorities, ballot questions and other matters impacting the lives of citizens. Their discussion will be followed by a Q&A session, giving attendees the chance to ask questions directly to state leaders.
About the Panelists
Jessica Giannino represents Revere in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and serves as vice chair of the Economic Development & Emerging Technologies Committee. She was elected to the Massachusetts house in 2020. Prior to that, she served as a Revere city councilor at large beginning in 2012. She is a graduate of Salem State University.
Meghan Kilcoyne '10 represents Clinton in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and serves as vice chair of the Health Care Finance Committee. She was first elected in 2020, succeeding fellow Democrat Harold Naughton Jr., whom she had worked for since 2012. She is the first woman elected to the 12th Worcester District. She graduated from Stonehill College with a B.A. in history.
Michael Kushmerek represents Fitchburg in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and serves as vice chair of the Telecommunications, Utilities, & Energy Committee. He was elected in 2020, succeeding fellow Democrat Stephan Hay. He attended Fitchburg State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in history and political science in 2008 and a master's degree in history in 2013.
Ted Philips represents Sharon in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and serves as vice chair of the Transportation Committee. He earned his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He also holds a master's degree in public administration from the Sawyer School of Business at Suffolk University.
