A Campus on the Rise

A New Home for Division I Basketball and Hockey

Stonehill’s Built to Rise campaign is transforming the future of Skyhawk Athletics, led by the new 120,000-square-foot Tom & Kathleen Bogan Arena. The facility will feature separate basketball and ice hockey venues with seating for approximately 2,500 fans in each, along with premium hospitality and viewing areas, training facilities, locker rooms, meeting spaces and academic support areas. More than a home for Division I athletics, the arena will create new opportunities for campus events, community gatherings and hands-on student learning.

New Athletic Fields Complex

As part of the Built to Rise campaign, Stonehill is also creating a new Athletic Fields Complex featuring new baseball and softball fields with turf playing surfaces, improved lighting, upgraded dugouts and bullpens and a modern press box. The complex will also include the Chip Salyards ’88 Memorial Pavilion, creating a new gathering place for student-athletes, fans and the broader Stonehill community.

A New 18-Hole Golf Course

Stonehill’s acquisition of the 150-acre Easton Country Club creates opportunities that extend well beyond golf. The property will serve as the home of Stonehill’s Division I women’s golf team and a new men’s golf program beginning in 2027-2028, while also providing space for hands-on coursework, real-world case studies, internships, student employment, recreation and community engagement.

New Opportunities to Learn and Grow

A New Era of Nursing at Stonehill

This fall, Stonehill welcomes the first cohort of students to its new Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, combining rigorous academics, personalized mentorship and clinical experiences with the values-centered education that defines Stonehill. Students will learn in new state-of-the-art simulation labs and begin clinical experiences in the fall of their sophomore year, putting what they learn into practice early in their college experience.

New Experience Guarantee

Through Stonehill’s new 100% Experiential Education Guarantee, every student will complete at least one hands-on experience aligned with their interests and goals before graduation. From internships and co-ops to faculty-mentored research, study abroad, travel seminars, community engagement and leadership experiences, every Stonehill student will have an opportunity to put what they learn into action and build valuable experience before graduation.

A New West Coast Experience

Stonehill’s new exchange partnership with the University of Portland gives students from any major the opportunity to spend a semester studying and living in the Pacific Northwest. The new program expands Stonehill’s partnerships with our sister schools founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross, which also include a dual degree partnership with the University of Notre Dame. Through the Portland exchange, students remain enrolled at Stonehill, maintain their financial aid and earn credits toward their Stonehill degree.

New 3+1 and 4+1 Degree Options

Stonehill’s Skyhawk Accelerated Dual Degree program gives students the opportunity to earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree in as few as four years through 3+1 and 4+1 pathways. Students can pair any undergraduate major with an eligible Stonehill graduate program in business administration, data analytics, education or marketing, take up to two graduate courses while completing their undergraduate degree and receive a 20% savings on graduate tuition through the Skyhawk Rate.
