22nd Annual Back to School Backpack Project
School may have just gotten out for the summer but it's that time of year again! The Alumni Council Programming Committee is collecting backpacks and school supplies for local elementary school children in need of support.
Now in its 22nd year, the Back to School Backpack Project is one of our most successful alumni service initiatives. In 2023, over 450 backpacks filled with school supplies were delivered to students in the local area. Your help is essential this year, as we once again anticipate a significant need for backpacks and supplies at our partner schools.
You can help support this initiative by purchasing supplies from our suggested supply list, directly from our Amazon Wish List, mailing or dropping off backpacks, school supplies, or monetary donations to the Alumni Office, or attending the annual backpack stuffing event on campus on Wednesday, August 13th.
