Stellenbosch, South africa

Office hours: Mondays, 11:30-1:30pm

I am an English major/Secondary Education minor and I hope to study Special Education in the future. I was fortunate to spend the fall of 2014 in Stellenbosch, South Africa. While abroad, I participated in the Learning for Sustainable Community Engagement program which allowed me to teach English and life-skills to a wonderful group of sixth grade students in the rural town of Lynedoch. This experience taught me how to create happiness from within, how to live slowly, and to be in the moment, among many other invaluable lessons. I would love to chat with students about South Africa and support them in planning and preparing for their own study abroad journey! The time flies while you are away and I would be thrilled to help you make the best of your experience :)

I am a senior Marketing major with a Criminology minor. During the Fall 2014 semester I studied abroad in London, England at the University of Westminster. I was able to travel through 7 other countries other than England during my time abroad. I loved every moment abroad and learned quite a lot about other cultures as well as myself. I am more than happy and excited to hear from fellow students and offer advice for their abroad adventure!

I am a senior marketing major with an economics minor. During the spring of 2015 I chose to study in Galway, Ireland. I took classes at the National University of Ireland Galway where I was able to gain a global perspective on many business concepts that I had touched upon in my studies at Stonehill. I spent most of my time in Ireland exploring the countryside and getting to know the locals by trying all of the incredible cafes, restaurants, and pubs. I ventured to many other countries throughout my time abroad that I would have never dreamed I would go to. I absolutely loved my semester overseas and cannot encourage it enough. I’m looking forward to talking with anyone who might be interested!

I was fortunate enough to make it to 13 different countries during my time abroad and would love to talk to anybody interested in calling Italy home for a semester, or has any questions about the ins and outs of European travel. I look forward to meeting and sharing the joys of travel with you!

¡Hola Stonehill! I’m a junior International Business and Spanish double major. This past fall, I was studied in Salamanca, Spain, at the oldest university in Europe. My four months abroad were a time full of learning (both in and outside the classroom), making new friends, and experiencing cultures not native to my own. I was fortunate enough to travel around both Spain and Europe to develop a stronger sense of cultural awareness and a better grasp on the world. Just a year ago I had never been on a plane, and now having some travel knowledge, I would love to share my stories and adventures with you. Studying abroad is a good way to kick-start your desire to see what the world has to offer, and I would recommend it to anyone.
