Course Overview

Concepts and practices of managerial accounting. Topics include cost behavior and cost-volume-profit analysis, contribution margin reporting, profit planning and budgeting, standard costs, performance analysis, decentralized operations, and relevant costs for decision making.

About the Instructor

Oltiana Muharremi

Assistant Professor of Accounting
Professor Muharremi holds a PhD in finance and has a background in corporate finance. She motivates students to learn and succeed in accounting studies by helping them build the intellectual and analytical abilities needed to pass the CPA exam. She collaborates with accounting professors on course content and effective teaching strategies regularly. Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Corporate Financial Reporting are some of the subjects she teaches.
Muharremi's research interests include taxation, microfinance and FDI. During her 15-year academic career, she participated in international conferences as a committee member and presenter, and she published in top academic journals. She also works as an ad hoc refereed article reviewer and board editor for numerous publications and conferences.
