About the Instructor

Ashvin R. Kini

Assistant Professor of English
Assistant Professor of English Ashvin Kini is an interdisciplinary scholar and teacher of queer, postcolonial and Asian American literary and cultural studies. He is currently working on a book manuscript titled Imperial Inheritances: Migration, Memory, Culture, which examines race, sexuality and queer memory in South Asian diasporic literature and film. His writing has appeared in Diaspora, Lateral, South Asian Review, American Studies and The Journal of African American History.
