To ensure you don’t get stuck locked out of your account when you come back in the fall, we strongly recommend you sign up for our password change service and change your password now. Passwords expire every six months, so changing it now will guarantee it will expire somewhere in the middle of the semester, rather than right at the beginning when you’re much busier.
Good point…how do I sign up?
One-time registration in the password change service is required upon initial sign-in to the Office 365 web environment. Simply head to office365.stonehill.edu and log in with your full email address and password. If you see a message saying that “More information required”, complete the registration process by following the prompts. If you don’t see the message at all and are instead brought straight to your Office 365 account, you’re already registered!
Ok I’m registered - now how does it work?
After registering, you can use the service at any time to change your password:
- Log into your Office 365 account on the web by visiting office365.stonehill.edu.
- Click the app-picker (the "waffle") in the top-left of your screen, then choose All Apps.
- Click Change Password - This can be used to either change your password, or to update it ahead of its expiration.
- Should you ever need to, you can also come here to choose the Update Password Information option to change your personal phone number or email address used to unlock your account.
