We all know how important privacy is in this internet-connected age, but you’d be surprised how much information you might be actively sharing with services and even the public, just by default, without ever even knowing about it.  Fortunately, most of the big tech providers are aware of both their users’ concerns and their own liability, and offer some ways to quickly audit your settings and know what you’re sharing with whom.

Often called “security checklists” or something similar, these guides give you a way to check through just what you’re sending out into the world, and to correct anything you don’t feel comfortable with.

Click a service below to see the security checklist for that provider. You might be surprised by what you didn’t realize you were sharing, or what you have control over!

(Note that these links are just to the guides for each. You’ll want to log into your particular device or service to actually make any changes.)
