Curious about visiting the farm? We welcome Stonehill classes, volunteers during Farm Fridays, and a limited number of groups (due to our small, seasonal staff), and encourage you to take a virtual tour or stop by to visit. Please complete this form to share about your hopes for your visit and we will be in touch. Thank you!

Volunteer at The Farm at Stonehill

Volunteers are integral to The Farm at Stonehill’s mission and success. Each season, more than 300 volunteers contribute over 700 hours of weeding, planting, harvesting, and delivering of our produce.

Farm volunteer hours are open to all students, faculty, and staff every Friday during the growing season (March through October) from 3pm to 5pm. No prior experience or registration needed. We hope to see you there!

Given the nature of the work at The Farm, generally volunteers must be at least 18 years old.  However, individuals at least 16 years old who have a reliable form of transportation may be considered if they can demonstrate through an in-person interview, written statement, and 1 letter of recommendation that they have an interest in sustainable agriculture or food justice issues and can work independently or with a group.

Note: We share information about volunteer hours in our "This Week at The Farm" email announcements and email the community if we need to cancel due to inclement weather.

**Can’t make it on Fridays? Email farm@stonehill.edu to learn about additional opportunities to volunteer."
