First-Year Special Interest Communities

Location: O'Hara Hall

An active and close-knit community, highly motivated to succeed in matters of both the mind and heart, Moreau Honors students take control over their learning as they uncover new interests and develop new skills. MHP students now have the opportunity to live and learn together for all four of their years at Stonehill. Through participating in this community, students can expect to participate in honors specific educational programs and social events with the Honors Advisory Council (HAC).

Location: O'Hara Hall

The Science Learning Community is open to first year students who have committed to Stonehill as a science, math, or engineering major. The purpose of this community is to allow students and staff alike to reinforce their innate and shared interest in the sciences, while providing a support system to manage the demands of a science-focused path of study. This special interest housing will build community, enhance academic skills, and provide tools for success in science at Stonehill through activities and events such as field trips, faculty office hours in the residence hall, sessions about science-related study skills, stress management, and gatherings that build new connections among peers and faculty.

Location: Boland Hall

The First-Gen Scholars Community builds connections among students who are the first in their family to attend college. First Gen RAs help students connect with campus resources and support to successfully navigate the world of higher ed.
