The Grants Resource Center (GRC) is a unit of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU). As a paid member of the GRC, Stonehill has access to a comprehensive suite of tools, services, and expertise to increase your success in securing competitive grants from federal and private sponsors. They provide:

  • GrantSearch, a comprehensive search engine that includes over 2,000 private and federal funding opportunities.
  • Access to their Resource Library.
  • A monthly listing of upcoming grant deadlines.
  • The GRC Bulletin, a twice-weekly email listing of research and sponsored programs.

Grants.gov

Grants.gov is a governmental resource that acts as a central storehouse for information on over 1,000 grant programs and provides access to approximately $500 billion in annual awards.  This website provides:

  • A search engine with advanced filtering options to hone in on specific grant criteria.
  • The option to receive notices listing grant opportunities meeting the user's specifications.
  • The ability to track and application that has been submitted.

The Grant Advisor

The Grant Advisor is a leading source of information on grant, research, and fellowship opportunities for U.S. institutions of higher education and their faculty. Stonehill provides faculty access to this website, which includes:

  • The online monthly Grant Advisor Newsletter, which details grant opportunities from federal agencies (except NIH) as well as many independent organizations and foundations.  
  • A table of deadline hyperlinks connecting to funding agencies or organizations, abstracts and program reviews, complete text from all current Federal Register grant listings, National Science Foundation on-line documents and e-mail addresses.  
  • The Database Search allows the user to enter their own grant opportunity search criteria or search through hundreds of program abstracts and Federal Register articles.
  • Over 200+ useful links to funding sources.

National Science Foundation

The National Science Foundation (NSF) funds research and education in most fields of science and engineering. NSF grant opportunities are listed on the previously mentioned websites.  However, if one is specifically seeking NSF grants, the NSF website provides excellent, state of the art tools for conducting their search.  The website offers the following search options:

  • An A to Z index of funding opportunities
  • Listing of most recent offerings
  • Search by upcoming due dates
  • Complete an advanced search by providing specific criteria
  • Search for interdisciplinary research opportunities

Users can also register to receive the results of these searches by email or RSS feed.
