Designed to reflect the unique characteristics and capabilities of leading at Stonehill, LEAD focuses on three core leadership imperatives:

  • Leading self
  • Leading others
  • Leading into the future

Due to the many changes and challenges of the past few years, both inside and outside of higher education, the current offering of LEAD has been refreshed and updated since it was first offered in 2019-20. This refreshed offering of LEAD will play an integral role in preparing the next generation of Stonehill leaders to:

  • Lead inclusive and healthy teams whose work aligns with the College’s strategic priorities
  • Build a strong community of leaders who collaborate across the institution
  • Lead with purpose and pride as stewards of Stonehill’s mission

LEAD is cohort-based and designed with the understanding that leadership development is a journey that takes place over time. With this, LEAD is structured as an eight-month program with weekly assignments where participants practice new capabilities, reflect, and learn with others.

LEAD is intended for staff who manage individuals and/or have responsibilities for leading committees, sub-committees, or other cross-functional groups on campus.

The LEAD program is designed and delivered in partnership with Crystal Clear Consulting and specifically facilitated by Kande McDonald, Vice President of Crystal Clear Consulting.
