SALT Program

Stonehill College has partnered with American Student Assistance (ASA), which sponsors SALT, a student loan management and financial literacy program that Stonehill alumni and current students can utilize free of charge. The program provides one-on-one help and web tools for student loan borrowers. SALT counselors offer individualized information about prior borrowing, repayment and deferment options, and the most cost-effective ways of paying down student loans. 

In college you'll learn how to take control of your personal finances from how to balance your check book to buying your first car. Stonehill College has partnered with the American Student Assistance (ASA) program to provide you with a web based financial resource called SALT which includes tips for handling your money, your student loans and many other areas of financial wellness. 

Here are some of the topics covered in the SALT program:

  • A day in the life: Living on a budget
  • Car loan payoff calculator
  • Repaying student loan debt
  • Tips for starting your career (including base salary negotiation)

There are also articles, video's , quizzes and many more interactive tools to help you achieve your financial goals!

The Office of Health Services offers confidential medical care to all full-time Stonehill students. Its staff includes nurse practitioners, physician assistants and a part-time physician.
