Stonehill College's Hazard Communication Program (HCP) describes the methods and practices we use to obtain and communicate hazard information to employees and contractors and is intended to comply with OSHA's hazard communication requirements.

SDS are prepared by product and chemical manufacturers or importers and describe a material's hazardous properties, physical and chemical characteristics, and precautions for safe handling and use. Stonehill College relies on the hazard evaluation performed by the manufacturer, importer, or distributor for their product or material.

The manufacturer, importer or distributor provides SDS automatically with the initial shipment or whenever the SDS is updated.
