Stonehill's Community Partnerships

Find an off campus organization in any of the following areas: Cross-Cultural Experiences & Racial Justice, Developmental & Intellectual Disability Programs, Education, Tutoring, & Mentoring, Environmental Justice, Health & Elder Care, Hunger & Homelessness, and Women's Empowerment!   Along with regular volunteer opportunities, there are also one-time events in the community and on campus to engage with issues of social justice. Opportunities to unite communities together through cross-cultural familiarity and expose Stonehill students to the various cultures surrounding the Brockton community.  

Opportunities to create one-to-one friendships with children, youth, and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through various social and educational events.

Emphasizes the importance of an education and allows students to assist children who need a little more help to achieve great things through tutoring, after school programs, or sports. Opportunities to foster year-long relationships with kids and teenagers through mentoring programs like tutoring, games, and fellowship.

Opportunities to educate others about how the environment affects the community and promote awareness about land conservation and access to healthy foods in food desert areas.

Opportunities to spend time in fellowship with those facing physical and mental ailments and spread awareness about healthcare and ageism around campus.

Opportunities to fight stereotypes and educate the community about common misconceptions of homelessness and those in need of assistance, giving the community members who use the services the personal assistance that returns their human dignity.

Opportunities to further the empowerment of young girls and women through investment in the development of youth and women of all ages and advocate for respect and equity for women in all spheres of life.
