In 2016, Sr. Margherita Marchione, MPF donated her collection of materials on Pope Pius XII to Stonehill College. The collection represents a significant body of knowledge on Pius XII, and consists of books, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, and exhibit materials. Since it acquired the collection, the Stonehill College Archives has been working to process the collection in order to make it available to researchers.

About Sr. Margherita Marchione, MPF

Born on February 19, 1922 in Little Ferry, New Jersey, Sr. Margherita Marchione, MPF is an accomplished educator and historian. A member of The Pontificial Institute of the Religious Teachers Filippini, she has dedicated her life to the works of the Apostolate and served as Treasurer of the Religious Teachers Filippini for twenty-five years. She has authored forty books including Pope Pius XII: Architect for Peace and Your Is a Precious Witness: Memoirs of Jews and Catholics in Wartime Italy, and has written over 100 articles. Sr. Marchione has worked in primary, secondary, and higher education, and she is Professor Emerita of Languages at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
