Today, we honor and recognize the brave veterans in our armed forces for their service and sacrifice to our country.
More than 500 Stonehill College alumni have served in different branches of our nation’s armed forces. The upcoming issue of the Alumni Magazine shares the story of one of them. Col. Scott McFarland ’95 served as regional commander for the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) in Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia and lives by the two mottos of AAFES: “There Is No Greater Honor Than Serving Those Who Serve” and “We Go Where You Go.”
Join me in keeping Scott and all our veterans who serve our country in your prayers and thoughts this day and every day—and let us pray that the world might know true peace.
