Dear Members of the Stonehill Community,

As Thanksgiving approaches, I am reminded of a reflection offered by Blessed Basil Moreau, founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross. He said, “It is God’s hand which has guided everything, and it is God whom we must thank above all.” I give thanks to God for blessing the College with a community whose zeal sustains our mission of educating hearts and minds.

I am deeply grateful to our students, whose curiosity and compassion inspire the meaningful work we do here each day. I am equally thankful to their families, whose unyielding support empowers students to flourish in their academic and co-curricular pursuits.

I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated faculty and staff for their vital contributions. Their efforts to nurture a culture of critical thinking, collaboration and care have profoundly transformed countless lives at Stonehill.

And I offer sincere thanks to our alumni, retirees and friends of the College. Their passion for Stonehill helps ensure that our legacy of leading with heart will endure for generations to come.

During this season of gratitude, I pray that each of us can enjoy opportunities to pause, reflect and give thanks. May this Thanksgiving bring light, hope and joy to all.

Yours in Holy Cross,

Fr. John
