Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship John Dobson, a faculty member in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program offered by Stonehill College Graduate & Professional Studies and the Leo J. Meehan School of Business, has received a Fulbright Award to support his project, “Strengthening Binational Entrepreneurship Education.”

“The Fulbright is one of the most prestigious international exchange scholarships in the world, so it is a real honor to be able to represent the United States on a world stage,” Dobson said.

As part of his Fulbright initiative, which will be based out of the EPIC Lab at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), Dobson seeks to equip aspiring business leaders with the tools needed to address complex, real-world challenges. Emphasis will be placed on strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration, with the intention of creating a lasting partnership between ITAM and Stonehill.

Dobson will advance these goals by implementing a faculty development program at ITAM centered on problem-based, experiential learning and innovative curriculum development. Additionally, he will deliver workshops for business executives, government officials and community stakeholders. He will use the DYME framework, which is a practical toolkit to support collaborative problem-solving at all levels of society.

“During my stay with ITAM, I will be working with faculty, students, staff and the local ecosystem,” Dobson said. “I intend to help improve the effectiveness of entrepreneurial programming, thus equipping faculty and staff on how best to implement problem-based entrepreneurship education.”

Dobson joined the Stonehill community in 2025, bringing his rich professional experience to the MBA program's Entrepreneurship specialization, also offered as a 15-credit graduate certificate. His research and teaching focus on the power of entrepreneurship in helping nascent entrepreneurs start successful businesses so that they can build a better future for themselves and their families.

Dobson is the founder of the DYME Institute, which provides world-class entrepreneurship education to marginalized communities. He has worked with over 40 universities and entrepreneurship centers around the world to help develop their entrepreneurship programming.
