This award recognizes faculty members who embody the spirit of Light and Hope as they take on leadership roles within the College community. They collaborate and inspire, leading with dedication, mission and a commitment to Stonehill. Their efforts go beyond individual contributions, building partnerships within the College, professional organizations, and the local community. This award celebrates individuals who lead by example, embodying the values we strive to instill in our students and creating a ripple effect of positive change throughout the institution and beyond. In 2025, Stonehill College is proud to bestow the Outstanding Faculty Service Leadership Award on Professor Glen Ilacqua.

For more than two decades, Glen Ilacqua has exemplified servant leadership through his tireless and thoughtful contributions to Stonehill College. With a deep commitment to the College’s mission and a clear focus on student success, Glen has taken on a remarkable range of leadership roles at the department, school, and college levels. Whether serving as Interim Chair of the Tax and Accounting Program, Director of the Accounting Program, or Co-Chair of high-stakes search committees, Glen consistently leads with integrity, dedication, and humility.

His extensive committee service reflects both the breadth and depth of his leadership. From shaping long-term institutional planning on the College Planning Committee and the Strategic Planning Steering Committee, to guiding academic innovation through the Curriculum and Mission/Strategy Committees, Glen’s influence is seen across campus. His involvement in faculty governance—serving for over a decade on Faculty Senate and the Governance Committee—highlights his thoughtful engagement with the academic life of the College.

Glen’s impact also reaches beyond Stonehill’s borders. Through his CPA firm, he has provided tax and consulting services to local businesses for over 40 years, offering his expertise and building strong ties with the regional community. His long-term involvement with organizations like the Knights of Columbus and Easton youth programs reflects a broader spirit of service rooted in compassion and civic responsibility.

His colleagues recognize not only his exceptional work ethic but also his collaborative spirit, level-headed decision-making, and unwavering focus on what is best for the College and its students. Glen leads not for accolades but from a sincere desire to make a difference—a hallmark of true leadership.

And so, with deep pride, we confer the 2025 Outstanding Faculty Service Leadership Award to you, Professor Glen Ilacqua, whose service leadership fosters connection, strengthens community, and leaves a lasting legacy of Light and Hope at Stonehill.
