The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has announced that it will welcome Neave Bowman ’28 of the Stonehill women’s lacrosse team to the newest class of the T2T Student-Athlete Advocate Program. The Massapequa, New York, resident, joins five other student-athletes from across the country in working to ensure that young Americans “Never Forget” the sacrifices of our nation’s heroes.

“My dad is an FDNY firefighter and was in New York City on September 11, 2001, and he saw the events of that day firsthand,” Bowman said in a recent interview with Patch. “He was right there and was part of the sacrifices made, so it's really important that that sacrifice is both honored and recognized. And I think Tunnel to Towers does a great job of both of those things.”

Launched in September 2021, the program empowers college student-athletes to use their Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) platforms to promote the organization’s mission to honor first responders, military veterans and their families. Student-Athlete Advocates participate in T2T events across the country and engage with T2T followers through content creation on the Foundation’s website and social media channels.

When the United States commemorates the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks in 2026, the Student-Athlete Advocates, each of whom have their own personal connection to the mission and service, are committed to ensuring their peers “Never Forget” that day.

“These amazing athletes bring their drive and passion from the courts and fields to America’s military and first responder families. This group—each having been born after the events of September 11, 2001—is helping to cement the legacy of our fallen heroes in the hearts and minds of the next generation,” said Frank Siller, CEO and chairman of Tunnel to Towers.
