The senior prayed that God may grant members of our community the diligence and enthusiasm needed to complete their work this year.
Good and loving God,
Thank you for today and for the opportunity to gather together to celebrate the beginning of this new academic year.
As we begin this year, help us to be diligent in our work and enthusiastic in all that we do.
Open our eyes so we can see the world around us from new and different perspectives.
Open our ears so we can truly listen to understand.
Open our minds so we can continue learning from one another.
But most importantly, open our hearts so that we may have the courage to act in ways which express our shared love for this community.
Lord, we ask that you bless the entire Stonehill community, but in a special way the class of 2026 as they begin their journey here and the class of 2023 as our journey comes to a close.
We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.
