As the voice of baseball in Boston for over 40 seasons, you enjoyed the longest tenure of any broadcaster in Red Sox history. Throughout your career, you remained steadfast in providing fans with reliable and thoughtful commentary promoting good sportsmanship.

In celebration of your invaluable contributions to your field, you have received recognition from several organizations. You were awarded honors from the Red Sox Hall of Fame and the National Baseball Hall of Fame, due in part to your knowledge and passion for sport, both of which inspire people everywhere.

As a lecturer at such distinguished institutions as Northeastern University and Franklin Pierce University, you have been a mentor to many students interested in both athletics and media. You have empowered them to follow in your footsteps by generously sharing the wisdom you gained from decades of experience.

As a dedicated supporter of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Jimmy Fund, you have helped offer hope to families in need. Your participation in various fundraising initiatives over the years has helped significantly alleviate the suffering faced by patients and their loved ones. 

As the parent of a Stonehill College graduate, you are a valued member of the campus community. You have lived out the mission of this institution by ensuring that integrity and compassion remain integral to your life and your work.
