Dear Stonehill Community,

We write to share an update on the College’s COVID-19 masking policy, made in consultation with our medical providers and following recent state guidance. Starting on Sunday, February 20, 2022, the College will no longer require indoor masking in all areas of campus. This change aligns with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s recent advisory regarding face covering and other positive indicators related to the fight against COVID-19.

Masking will still be required inside Health Services, the Athletic Training Room, and our Testing Center. Those who test positive for COVID-19 or are identified as a close contact must also continue wearing a mask in accordance with isolation and quarantine protocols. Faculty and staff may request the use of masking for classroom settings or meetings, and we ask that everyone be understanding, accommodating, and respectful of these requests. Individuals may continue wearing a mask if they choose for any reason, and we support them in that choice.

In addition, as of Friday, February 18, 2022, non-student, overnight guests are once again permitted in the residence halls. Resident students wishing to register an overnight guest should do so through the guest registration process in myHill.

All other COVID-19 protocols, which can be found here, will remain in place at this time. With over 96% of our community vaccinated, we are confident that we are well-positioned to continue thriving this semester and beyond.

We are deeply grateful to everyone for their sacrifices, patience, and perseverance throughout these two challenging years. Thank you for continuing to do your part to keep our campus community living and learning together in a safe and healthy environment for all.

Sincerely,

Pauline M. Dobrowski
