Dear Members of the Stonehill Community,

With Thanksgiving upon us, I write to express my gratitude to you—the students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and friends of the College. You sustain our institution each day by sharing your knowledge, talents and experiences with our community. As you relax and recharge over the break, I hope that you can enjoy time with family and reflect on life’s many blessings.

In a story published last week on our website, several students shared messages of gratitude to prepare for the holiday. In one message, a student noted, “I’m thankful to be able to walk into class everyday knowing that I have an opportunity to learn and be better than I was the day before.”

These sentiments embody what it means to be part of the Stonehill family. In our mission to educate the whole person, we seek to provide members of our community with countless opportunities for growth so that they may become moral, spiritual, intellectual and social leaders. I am thankful to celebrate the progress that our students achieve because of their time on this campus. I am even more grateful to see them use their own gifts to positively impact others.

During this time of Thanksgiving, I pray that you and your loved ones experience light and hope.

Yours in Holy Cross,

Fr. John Signature
