Define Success by Your Impact on Others

We endeavor to foster a culture that inspires students to maximize their potential so that they, in turn, can help others maximize theirs. It’s a reflection of our commitment to “strong minds, stronger hearts” and we know from experience that such the seeds of compassion are sown through service experiences both locally and around the world. The world is calling for compassionate leaders. We make sure you’re ready to respond.

Committed to the Greater Good

Our students are the kinds of people who get out there and make a difference. They’re in it for the experience, the people and because it’s the right thing to do. Each year, Stonehill students provide nearly 100,000 hours of community service through programs such as the Farm at Stonehill and H.O.P.E. Service Immersion Program, among others. Service experiences build leadership skills, broaden their understanding of diversity and develop a keener sense of justice.

  • H.O.P.E. Service Immersion Program

H.O.P.E. is a service immersion experience dedicated to understanding the root causes of social injustices by becoming global citizens. Participants learn how to promote peace and equity by living in solidarity and serving with underserved communities.

  • The Farm at Stonehill

The Farm at Stonehill was established in January 2011 in response to food access issues in the neighboring city of Brockton, Massachusetts. Since its inception, The Farm has donated more than 80,000 pounds of fresh organic produce to our four community partner organizations.

  • L.I.G.H.T. Community Engagement Program

As Stonehill's largest, student-run community service program, the L.I.G.H.T. Community Engagement Program provides opportunities for students to learn from, foster relationships with, journey alongside, and advocate for members of our local community.
